MARLBOROUGH - Jose M. Ferrari, 61, of Marlborough died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Marlborough Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Ana M. (DeSouza) for the last 14 years. He was born and educated in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the son of the late Jose and Jutite (Panciere) Ferrari. After moving to Massachusetts he owned and operated Marcos Auto Repair on Mechanic Street in Marlborough for 20 years. Jose was a devote Christian, always reading the Bible and listening to gospel music. He was such a happy man, loved by so many people. He was full of hope and loved life. During his long illness he never once complained about the pain or ever asked "why me?" Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Pierre and Quessio Ferrari, both of Marlborough, and three daughters, Andreza Ferrari of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, and Ana Cecilia and Rebecca Ferrari, both of Marlborough; a brother, Ernandes Ferrari of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais and two sisters, Marioneide Ferrari of Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil and Marionete of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais; two grandsons, Thiago and Samuel Ferrari and a granddaughter .
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 20 at 8:30 a.m., in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Monday, August 19 from 7-10 p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
