Westborough- Jose Carlos F. Guimaraes, 67, of Westborough died suddenly on Saturday August 20, 2016 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Sonia De Paula (DaConceicao) Guimaraes. He was born in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil the son of the late Alfredo Da Rocha Guimaraes and Maria Faria Gomes and was educated in Brasil. In Brazil Jose Carlos was a supervisor at Belgo Mineira, a steel manufacturer in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil and a General Contractor. Before moving to Massachusetts he had a lottery store with his wife Sonia. For the past 16 years, Jose Carlos was a self-employed handyman.  He loved  playing soccer when younger and almost played professionaly on "Botafogo Futebol Clube" . On his last moments he loved spending time with his family  specilly with his  kids and grandkids. He was playful and loved making friends. His favority food was fried fish and sea food. He loved coke when eating. His favority TV channel was Discovery channel and he was passionate about nature.  But the best thing for him was to tell everyone how beautifull his daughters were.  Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Rafael De Paula Guimaraes who lives in France; three daughters , Karine De Paula Guimaraes Silva ,  Rayssa and Laryssa De Paula Guimaraes all who reside in Westborough; three grandchildren, Jessica, Lillian and Kevin Silva of Westborough.

A graveside service will be held Thursday August 25 at 10:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, 106 South Street, Westborough. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-7:30p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
