John Edward Ruby JR. 60, of Hudson passed away peacefully Sunday February 16, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. John was born in Hudson on February 5, 1960 to the late John (Jack) E. Ruby Sr. and Kathleen (Coggins) Ruby and raised in Marlborough. He had a relentless work ethic and loved spending time with his family and friends more than anything.

He leaves behind his son; John E. Ruby III and his Fiancé Brittany Gentile of Marlborough, 5 siblings; Roseanna Stevens and her husband Daniel T. Stevens of Maine, Janet Ruby of North Carolina, Kevin Ruby and Wayne Ruby both of Hudson, Dawn Marie Nogueira and her  husband Tony Nogueira of Hudson; His niece Crystal Farmer, and nephews Steven Minardi, Brian Minardi, and Jack Farmer. His long-time companion; Sandra Cheney of Hudson and her children; Steven Butler and his wife Angelique Butler, Nicole Cheney, and Corey Cheney. Sandra's grandchildren; who lovingly referred to John as "Papa"; Kayla, Thomas, Christian, Mariah, Faith, Frankie, Steven Veronica, Olivia, and a lifetimes worth of loving friends.

Calling hours will be held Thursday February 20 from 5-8 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home(www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will be private.
