MARLBOROUGH - John F. Chandler, 52, of Marlborough died Wednesday, June 16, 2010. He was the husband of Diane C. (Hinckley) Chandler for the past 24 years. Born in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of the late Jack and Juanita (Kimberling) Chandler, and moved to Marlborough in 1974. A 1975 graduate of Marlborough High School, he later graduated from Bay State School of Technology for appliance repair. John was a property manager in the MetroWest area for many years, and owner and operator of Chandler Appliance Repair. He was invaluable to both the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. and also coached Marlboro Little League baseball for many seasons. As a skilled tradesman with a strong will, he was able to take the most daunting task and turn it into a do-able project. He was a diehard Red Sox fan and enjoyed attending spring training games in Florida. He enjoyed vacationing at Sebago Lake with his family. He had a love for British motorcycles and was known by many as "Johnny Thunder." Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Ryan H. Chandler, and his daughter, Kelsy H. Chandler, both of Marlborough; a brother, James Chandler of Missouri, and three sisters, Judy Chandler of Missouri, Joan Franks of New Market, N.H. and Janet Thompson of Missouri; many nephews and nieces; and his mother-in-law, Lillian Hinckley of Marlborough. He was the brother of the late Jeanine Chandler and son-in-law of the late Francis E. Hinckley of Marlborough.
