Marlborough- Jo-Ann M. (Hinckley) Sether, 61, formerly of Georgia and Arizona died Sunday March 1, 2015 at Milford Regional Hospital after a courageous three year long battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Gary Sether who died May 15, 2010. She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of Elaine (Kelleher) Hinckley of East Longmeadow, and the late Charles Hinckley. JoAnn was raised and educated in Northborough  where she graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 1971. JoAnn worked in the banking and finance industry for over 40 years,  including Nationwide Credit in Georgia and Suntrust in Arizona.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking ,baking, reading and her dog Rebel. She was a devoted and beloved aunt who  rarely missed her niece's equestrian events, a treasured sister, and gentle mom devoted to her family.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Jonathan Sether of Acworth, GA and her mother Elaine Hinckley of East Longmeadow, her step-daughter, Christine Bates and her husband Brian of Barre; three brothers, Michael J. Hinckley and his wife Junie of Plymouth, Charles R. Hinckley, Jr and his wife Stephanie of Chula Vista, CA and John J. Hinckley and his wife Donna of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Beth  Hinckley of Monson and Catherine R. Wolfenden and her husband Thomas of East Longmeadow; two beloved grandchildren, Josh and Joey Addison, and six cherished nieces and nephews, Sarah, Amanda, Laura, Devon, David and Christopher. She was lovingly taken care of by many members of her family, especially her special Aunt Mary.

Calling hours will be held Thursday March 5 from 4-7 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A Celebration of JoAnn's life will be held following calling hours at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or MSPCA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home.
