CHELSEA- Jerome Casper, 81, of Chelsea died Sunday March 16, 2008 in Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett. He was born in Boston, MA the son of the late Abraham and Flora (Sackowitz) Casper and was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School and UMASS Amherst, where he received a B.S. in Biology. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran having served aboard the USS Richard E. Kraus. Following an honorable discharge, he worked in retail sales in the shoe industry. Jerome also owned and operated JBW Associates in Newton, a design and manufacturer of shoe ornaments. He leaves a son Wayne Casper of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Alyssa Jarpe of Hudson and Valerie Black of Spring Hill, TN; four grandchildren, Kyle Casper of Dallas, Nicole and Zachary Jarpe both of Hudson and MacKenzie Black of Spring Hill. He was pre-deceased by three brothers. His funeral and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
