MARLBOROUGH - Helen C. (Chelengarian) Greene, 88, of Marlborough and formerly of Watertown, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at Marlborough Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Arsen and Parentzem (Avedian) Chelengarian. Helen was a graduate of Watertown High School, Boston Conservatory of Music and later studied at Boston University School of Law. She was an accomplished classical violinist who performed with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Tanglewood, South Shore Music Conservatory, Stow Symphony Orchestra, and MetroWest Symphony Orchestra. Prior to her retirement she was an executive administrative assistant at Boston University School of Law and Nursing. Helen was a member of the Greater Grace Christian Fellowship. She loved listening to and playing classical music, reading and cooking.  She was devoted to her family, friends and God, and in the 1950s before it was fashionable, she educated others about nutrition and health.

She leaves her daughters, Donna S. Bradley and her husband, Brian, of Hudson and Paula A. Murphy and her husband, Patrick, of Scituate; a brother, John Chilingarian of Cambridge and a sister, Sally Najarian of Harrington Park, N.J.; two grandchildren, Sara and John Murphy, both of Scituate; and many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greater Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 187 Pleasant Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Dec. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ).
