HUDSON- Harry S. Dodson, 82, of Hudson died Friday April 13, 2007 at home. His wife Helen V. (Corbett) Dodson died two years ago. He leaves a son Harry C. Dodson of Hudson; two daughters, Diana M. Merrill and her husband, Richard of Westboro and Darlene Generazio of Hudson; a brother Harold Dodson of Georgia; four grandchildren, Richie L. Generazio, III of Hudson, Ashley, Bianca and Chris Merrill all of Westboro. His grandson Anthony Merrill died in 1989 and a sister Omilee Dodson of South Carloina died many years ago. He was born in DeKalb County, Georgia the son of the late Harold and Mimmie (Pike) Dodson. Mr. Dodson served over 20 years in the US Navy and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He served aboard many naval vessels, including the U.S.S. Terror, U.S.S. Forrestal and U.S.S. Intrepid. Following an honorable discharge he worked in the quality control department of General Motors in Framingham and later as a supervisor at Digital Equipment Corporation in Hudson and Marlborough retiring in 1989. A lifetime member of the VFW Post # 638 in Marlborough, he enjoyed collecting baseball cards, spending time with his grandchildren, and will be remembered by his family as a loving and caring man. A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday April 26, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Monday April 23 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
