Obituary

FRAMINGHAM - Gerald E."Jerry" McGilvray, Jr., 53, of Framingham died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at MetroWest Medical Center. He was born, raised and educated in Framingham, the son of the late Gerald E. and Jean J. (Buck) McGilvray. He was the cherished big brother of Nancy McGilvray of Framingham. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Edie and John Macchi, Shirley and James Cleaves and Frederick Buck all of Florida, and Leo and Nancy Buck of Southborough. He was nephew of the late Martha and Ray Peacock and Elsie and Joseph Mercury. A graduate of Keefe Technical High School, Class of 1976, he was affectionately known as "Puddinhead" or "Myer" by all his friends, and was an auto mechanic for many years, working throughout the MetroWest area. He was a member of the Maspenock Rod & Gun Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles (Framingham). He enjoyed many an hour being a part of the crew at "Santa's workshop". He also loved riding his Harley, working with classic vehicles, travelling to Laconia and 'Vegas. He was a warm-hearted, giving and caring man. Always with a twinkle in his eye, he was the consummate jokester. He was fortunate to have been blessed with many friends who will miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be on Thursday February 2 nd from 6-9 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday February 25th at the Natick Elks, 95 Speen Street from 12-5 p.m. Casual attire requested, Harley gear welcome.
