Marlborough- George J. Wockenfuss, Sr., 75, of Marlborough and formerly of Sudbury died Sunday March 2, 2014 at The Reservoir Center for Healthcare & Rehabilitation. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Vergato) Wockenfuss who died many years ago. He was born, raised and educated in Pittsburg, PA the son of the late Godfred and Marie (Gibbs) Wockenfuss. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a machinist for O'Dell Company in Watertown for 40 years retiring many years ago. George was a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose, The Elks, AmVets, Eagles and ITam Club.
He leaves four sons, George J. Wockenfuss, Jr. of Bedford, Richard M. Wockenfuss of Leominster, John P. Wockenfuss of Ashland and Robert C. Wockenfuss of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Eileen Haddock, Carol Poilucci and Connie Bohn all of PA; three granddaughters, a great granddaughter; many nephews and nieces.
Following cremation his funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
