GEORGE J. ARANEO, SR., 90 of Framingham and formerly of Union, New Jersey died Sunday February 10, 2008 in St. Patrick's Manor. He was the husband of Theda (Logan) Araneo for the past 61 years. He was born and educated in East Orange, NJ the son of the late Luigi and Marie (Frino) Araneo. George was a decorated US Army veteran of WWII having received the Purple Heart. He owned and operated Araneo Scavenger Service in East Orange for 40 years. He was an avid sports fan that followed Seton Hall Men's Basketball closely, and was an active in several WWII Veterans Associations. Besides his wife, he leaves a son George J. Araneo, Jr. of Boston and a daughter Nancye Araneo and her partner, Raymond Delisle of Hudson; a brother Louis Aroneo of Springfield, NJ ; 19 nephews and nieces. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday February 16, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Manor Chapel, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
