SOMERVILLE- Gedson Doval Queiroz Madeira, 34 of Somerville and formerly of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil died Monday March 12, 2007 in Whidden Memorial Hospital. He was the wife of Patricia Carvalho Madeira. Besides his wife he leaves his son, Lucas Madeira and his daughter Leticia Madeira both of Governador Valadares; two brothers, Genivaldo Madeira and Gleivison Madeira both of Governador Valadares; a sister Glaucia Cristina Madeira of Governador Valadares; uncles, aunts and cousins, including his Uncle Antonio Querioz of Natick. He was the son of Genivaldo S. and Gemma B. (Queiroz) Madeira of Governador Valadares. He graduated from high school and college in Governador Valadares. Gedson was employed as a carpenter in the Boston area for several years and enjoyed soccer and swimming. He will be remembered as a very caring man who often helped others. His funeral will be held in Governador Valadares, MG, Brazil. Burial will be in Cemeteiro Santo Antonio, Governador Valadares.
