MARLBOROUGH- Fred E. Louis XIV, M.D., 49 of Marlborough and formerly of West Roxbury, died Sunday February 11, 2007 in Marlborough Hospital. He leaves his mother Mary M. (Guerges) Alfred of Marlborough; a brother Magdi "Al" Alfred of Marlborough; a sister Magda Mikhil, M.D. and her husband Hany, of Acton; a nephew Peter M. Mikhil and a niece Rachel M. Mikhil both of Acton. He was born, raised and educated in Cairo, Egypt the son of the late Edward Alfred. He received his degree in Medicine form Cairo University and practiced medicine in Cairo before moving to the United States in 1990. He was an avid reader and was well versed in many languages, which included English, Arabic, Spanish, French and Italian. In his earlier years, he enjoyed swimming and basketball. A funeral service was held Monday February 12, 2007 in St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, 145 Oak Street, Natick. Burial followed in St. Lazarus Cemetery, Charlton.
