Felix Martinez, 72, of Marlborough died Friday, May 11, 2012 at UMass Medical Center, Worcester. He was the husband of Benita (Vasquez) Martinez for the past 44 years. He was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, the son of the Monseratte Lozada of Puerto Rico and the late Bruno Martinez. He moved to New York in 1954 and graduated from Samuel Gompers Technical High School in 1958 and later, from Bronx Community College, where he received a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S.
Army
. Felix was an industrial mechanic at Webb Industries in Holliston for 12 years before retiring in 2006. Prior to that, he was an industrial mechanic at Coatings Engineering in Sudbury for 22 years. He enjoyed collecting model trains and radio-controlled models of all types. Felix was a kind, gentle, devoted husband, father and brother, a true family man. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Russ Martinez of Brighton and his wife Adina Beer and Robert Martinez of Marlborough; a brother, Angel Martinez of East Boston and three sisters, Maria Martinez of Orlando, Fla., and Alba Lozada and Socorro Clark, both of Puerto Rico; many nephews and nieces; and four sisters-in-law, Zaida Abraham of New Mexico, Julia Abraham of Sarasota, Fla., Andrea Vasquez of New York City, and Carmen Martinez of Boston.
