Hudson-Eni Rosa (Avelar) Lopes, 60, of Hudson died Thursday September 29, 2016 at UMASS Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Joao Lopes Vital for the last 43 years. She was born and raised in Sao Joao do Oriente, Minas Gerais, Brazil and lived here for many years. She was the daughter of Jose Fernandes Avelar and Raimunda Sebastiana De Assis. Eni was an elementary school teacher in Dom Cavati, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She was a certified nurse's assistant at Wingate in Sudbury for many years and later worked as a home health aide. Eni loved cooking and helping others. She was devoted to her family and friends.

She leaves her son Jerrison Lopes Avelar and his wife Camila of Hudson; five brothers and two sisters; two grandchildren, Ana Clara and Lara both of Hudson.

A funeral service will be held Sunday October 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.  Burial will be held Monday October 3 at 11:00 a.m. in Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson.
