MARLBOROUGH - Emery C. Veinotte, 79, of Chelsea and formerly of Marlborough, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett. He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Grafton and Dorothy (Lane) Veinotte, and was a 1947 graduate of Marlborough High School. He leaves a cousin, Carolyn R. Beland and her husband, Rene, of Hudson, and many cousins. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. An accountant, he worked as an auditor for the City of Marlborough for many years. He enjoyed basketball and sports in general.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, April 1, at noon in Maplewood Cemetery, Pleasant Street, Marlborough. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
