Hudson- Ellen T. (Shanahan) Lee, 92, of Hudson and formerly of Bolton died Tuesday April 11, 2017 at The Reservoir Center in Marlborough.  She was the wife for 40 years of the late David I. Lee who died in 1986. She was born and raised in Marlborough, the daughter of the late William J. and Theresa (Marinelli) Shanahan and was a 1942 graduate of St. Michael's Catholic High School in Hudson.  Ellen was a chef for Nashoba Regional High School for 38 years retiring in 2000, and previously worked at LaPointe Machine Tool Co. in Hudson for several years. She enjoyed music, dancing, swimming, cooking and was an avid reader.  She was devoted to her family and enjoyed a special bond with her grandchildren.  She leaves three daughters, Mary J. Nichols and her husband Jeffrey of Bolton, Virginia A. Lee of Hudson and Christine R. Gasparoni and her husband Richard of Marlborough; a sister Mary Orareo of Florida; a brother John Shanahan of Charlton; four grandsons, five granddaughters;  five great grandsons and five great granddaughters; a daughter-in-law, Elin Lee of Lancaster. Ellen was the stepmother of the late Kenneth A. Lee of Lancaster and sister to the late Rita Glynn of Norwood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday April 26 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, South Bolton Road, Bolton.
