MARLBOROUGH - Ella V. (de Wittecka) Stevovich, 89, of Marlborough and formerly of Brookline, died at home Sunday, May 1, 2011. She was the wife of Vlastimir Stevovich who died in 1985. She was born, raised, and educated in Poland, the daughter of the late Josef and Marianna (Utta) de Wittecka and moved to the United States in 1950. She studied philosophy and mathematics in Poland. Ella was a manager for AT&T for many years, working in Washington, DC, Boston and Waltham before retiring in 1987. A proud member of The Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement, she loved reading, politics and current affairs. She leaves a son, Andrew V. Stevovich and his wife Laura of Northborough; a grandson, Alexander Stevovich of Scarborough, Maine and former daughter-in-law, Pamela Ives, also of Scarborough.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7 at 4 p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. Instead of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
