Elizabeth M. (Catulo) Aiello, 66, formerly of Marlborough died Monday January 8, 2024 at St Vincent's Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born, raised and educated in Gloucester, where she met and married David Aiello and had 2 daughters. When David passed away in 1987, She moved to New Bedford and raised her daughters. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Carol (Abrahamson) Catulo. She is the sister of the late Cinthia Catulo and the aunt of the late Joel Catulo. And her late sister-in-law Jodi Burke. She worked as a waitress at several restaurants throughout her life including the former Thad's in New Bedford. Elizabeth loved to listen to music and enjoyed dancing. And she never missed an episode of General Hospital. She loved being with her family, especially her seven precious grandchildren. She was loving, caring, compassionate, always wanting to make others happy. She leaves her soulmate and longtime companion, Robert Baldassari; two daughters, Gina L. Aiello and her husband Troy of Marlborough and Angela F. Aiello and her husband David of Framingham; two brothers, Joseph and Paul Catulo both of New Bedford; a sister Linda Avylla and her husband Scott of New Bedford; her foster Brother Kieth Costa and his wife Melodi her godson Scott Avylla and her nieces Tanya Silveira and Farrah Paiva; seven grandchildren, Troy, Dontae, Davian, Maddox, Aaliyah, Brooklyn and Avalyn. Her sister-in-law Ronda Barrett, Dawn Covino and her husband Jay. Her brother-in-law Richard Baldassari and his wife Wendy. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Monday January 15 from 6-8 PM in the Collins Funeral Home (collinsfuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday January 16 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
