For three decades, he served as the Director of Graphic Design at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC, where his creative endeavors were a testament to his dedication. Working tirelessly until his retirement in 2007, Eduardo immersed himself in projects that aimed not only to beautify but to also reflect the richness of diverse cultures and the human experience. His career was guided by an unwavering belief that design could influence change and touch lives; it is said he often dedicated his efforts towards initiatives that would uplift the less fortunate.
Eduardo was a man of deep sensitivity and kindness, traits that shone through in his work and in all of his interactions. His unwavering commitment to improving the world left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. He lived a life of generosity, reaching out to uplift those around him, whether through artistic collaboration or acts of goodwill.
Beyond the realm of professional achievement, Eduardo embraced life’s pleasures with enthusiasm. His passions encompassed painting, music, and exploring art museums, all of which reflected his innate appreciation for beauty and culture. An avid bicyclist, Eduardo found joy in the simple act of riding, traversing routes across landscapes, often searching for inspiration in nature’s artistry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona K. Thomas, with whom he shared 40 years of profound companionship. His legacy continues through his daughter, Adriana K. Ramirez, and her husband, Robert, of Ayer, along with his cherished grandson, Cameron J. Ramirez-Russell, who were sources of immense pride and joy in his life. He is also remembered by his brothers: Luis Ramirez and Santiago Ramirez, who reside in Montreal, Canada, and Angel Ramirez of Lima, Peru.
