MARLBOROUGH - Doris L. (DesRocher) Collins, 88, of Marlborough died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the wife of Maurice F. Collins, who died in 1990. She was born and raised in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (O'Malley) DesRocher, and was a 1940 graduate of Marlborough High School. Doris was an assembler at Dennison Manufacturing in Marlborough and also worked at Waters Manufacturing in Wayland as a quality control inspector for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, an avid bingo player and enjoyed shopping. She leaves her daughter, Colleen M. Welch of Ayer; a brother, Donald DesRocher and his wife Ruby of Hudson; two grandchildren, Jack Welch of Townsend and Jason Welch of Ayer; and several nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
