Donna M. (Haigh) Comeau, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 17, 2026, following a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late David A. Comeau, who passed away in 2002.

Born in Marlborough, Donna was raised in Northborough and was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Seymour) Haigh. After the loss of her mother at the age of two, she was lovingly raised by her maternal grandmother, Florence Alward. Donna graduated from Northborough High School with the Class of 1960.

Donna worked at Lance Corporation in Hudson for more than 20 years. Later in life, she returned to school and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. She went on to work for the Sisters of St. Anne at the Marie Esther Health Center, where she continued her caring and giving nature by helping others.

In her spare time, Donna enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cake decorating. She loved the outdoors, especially camping, and treasured attending the King Richard’s Faire with her son, David. She also enjoyed country music and taking many trips to Disney. Donna was a sweet, private, and generous woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Donna leaves behind her daughter, Sharon D. McGowan, and her husband, Richard, of Berlin; her sister-in-law, Pat Suprenant, of Marlborough; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband, Donna was predeceased by two children David E. Comeau and Lynn A. Daponte, both of Marlborough ; her beloved granddaughter Olivia Marie McGowan of Berlin passed away in 2011. And by her brother, Edward Suprenant, of Marlborough, who passed away in 2018.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, at 10 a.m. at Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson.
