MARLBOROUGH - Daniel D. Blaisdell, 60, of Marlborough died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Kathleen E. (Sullivan) Blaisdell for the last 32 years. Born in Framingham, raised and educated in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Lorraine (Gagne) Blaisdell. Dan was a self-employed carpenter, owner of JB Construction for 15 years, and previously worked for several area construction companies. He loved building, and vacationing at York Beach, Maine with his family and dear friends, the Roberts family from Marlborough and West Boylston.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Daniel D. Blaisdell and his wife, Susan, of Millbury, Alfred J. Blaisdell and his wife, Jen, of Charlton, Jason D. Blaisdell of Marlborough and two daughters, Joanne McNulty of Springfield and Terri A. Blaisdell of Marlborough; two brothers, Mark Blaisdell of Marlborough, David Blaisdell of Colorado and four sisters, Barbara Flood of Worcester, Sandra Boucher of Florida, Paulette Brier of Colorado and Gail Ballantine of Fitchburg; nine grandchildren, Tiffany, Felicia, Matthew, A.J., Danielle, Nicholas, Sidney, Gabrielle, and Courtney Blaisdell, with whom he lived; two great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Christopher Blaisdell of Marlborough.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Oct. 30 from 4 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
