HUDSON - Clarence E. Daniels, 63, of Hudson and formerly of Marlborough, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Kindred Care in Marlborough after a long illness. He was the husband of Marilyn (Phillips) Daniels for the last 37 years. He was born and raised in Pomeroon, Guyana, the son of the late Joel and Eugene (Scott) Daniels, and received his high school education at Queens College in Georgetown, Guyana and his Bachelor of Artsdegree in electrical engineering from City University in New York. Clarence was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hudson. He enjoyed fishing, racquetball, softball and golf, and was an avid reader. An intelligent, kind-hearted man, with an infectious laugh that lit up the room, and he would truly give you the shirt off his back. He was a successful long-term Executive with Xerox for many years and fully devoted to his family. He leaves two sons, Ronkay Daniels and his wife, Sarah, of Hudson and Mark A. Daniels and his wife, Christa, of Worcester; four brothers, Victor Daniels of Georgetown, Guyana, Frank Daniels of New Jersey, Thomas and Lloyd Daniels of Queens, N.Y., and two sisters, Josephine Toussaint of New Jersey and Antoinette Jordan of New York; four grandchildren, Maliyah and Kira Daniels, both of Hudson, and Mikayla Daniels and Kyle Sebastyanski of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14 at 2 p.m., at the Hudson Seventh Day Adventist Church, 94 Marlboro Street, Hudson. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday, July 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
