IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carlo J.
Barbieri, Jr
August 27, 1953 – April 19, 2022
My father Carlo J Barbieri Jr passed away at the UMass Memorial Health-Marlborough Hospital. He left behind his Son, Carlo J Barbieri III. In the 1980s - late 90s my father went forward into the gaming world. Though, being that it was never his choice for work. He pushed forward to his dream which was to become a Civil Engineer. From 1984 - 1997 my father worked for Nintendo, Sega, and PlayStation doing distribution and marketing for Walmart and other larger corporations. During that time, my father took his time working on side projects for himself to become a Civil Engineer and Photographer. He worked on the Big Dig, and other forms of projects for the New England area. He worked to make ends meet for his family and his only son. As he was doing multiple things and would go onto also doing architectural work as well. In my early 20's my father set his eyes on creating a hobby for me. When I adventured into broadcasting and then into the film world. My father set forth to give me one of the largest film, poster, and music collections that he could collect. My father wanted to leave behind whatever he could. I will always owe him that for as long as I live. He was a selfless man. His passion was to always collect, preserve, and hold onto history. That includes family history, friend's memories, and his hobbies for collecting video games, vintage cameras and baseball memorabilia. After my parents divorced. My father continued to love my mother with all his heart. As friends, he took care of her all the way till she passed on 4/24/2020. He was there for her and now he sleeps himself resting with her in heaven. There is no easy way of writing about a life that's now gone. In so many words it is one of the hardest things to do. I can only say that he was a respected and respectable man. He gave nothing but love, respect, and showed nothing but humility for himself. He touched so many people in his life, that he never wanted to let them see him lay down in a coffin. He wanted everyone that was still left to remember him the way he was, the way he made them laugh, smile, and to honor them all with his love. But also leaving behind some very fond and happy ball bustings and comical fun.
Have a drink on me, and that's what we will all do. RIP Dad
