Hudson- Burton R. Gill, Sr., 93, of Hudson and formerly of Princeton died Saturday November 14, 2015 at The Reservoir Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Marlborough. He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Bourne) Gill who died in 1990. He was born and raised in Oxford, the son of Charles and Marie (Saulnier) Gill and was a 1940 graduate of Oxford High School.  After graduation Burton entered the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of WWII. Following an honorable discharge, he began a 40 year career at Norton Company in Worcester retiring in 1987.  He also worked as a police officer in Princeton for many years. He was a member of Trinity Masonic Lodge in Clinton, Order of the Eastern Star, Member of Shiners International and the American Legion Post 189. Burton was happy with a positive outlook that he shared with others. He was generous to a fault and an avid Red Sox fan.

He leaves a son Russell Gill of Boulder, Colorado; two daughters, Jacquelyn B. Mazza and her husband, Peter of Hudson and Susan M. Renaud and her husband, Gary of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Ben, Becky, Tina, Adam and Phil; two great grandchildren, Peter and Laurel. He was the brother of the late Vincent and Edward Gill.

A Celebration of Burton's Life will be held Friday November 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will b e private. Calling hours will be held Thursday November 19 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
