Obituary

Marlborough- Brenda Andrade, 44, a woman whose vibrant spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away peacefully at home on May 13, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on February 23, 1982, in Resplendor, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Brenda’s journey was marked by strength, love, and an unwavering dedication to those she held dear.

Brenda was educated in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, where the foundation of her remarkable character was laid. She went on to own and operate Brenda's Cleaning, dedicating herself wholly to her career and community. Brenda’s entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her fierce independence and strong will—qualities that shone brightly even as she courageously battled cancer over the course of the last seven months of her life.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Brenda remember her as a loving and joyful soul with a warm presence that brought peace and comfort wherever she went. She cherished her dog, Benji, and nothing made her happier than enjoying a great cup of coffee, exploring the ocean’s endless beauty, traveling to new places, and creating moments of celebration in her home with her exceptional cooking and hospitality. A devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Brenda’s faith and community involvement were central to her life.

She is deeply missed by her devoted husband, Ronaldo E. Fernandes of Marlborough, and her loving children, Farlei M. Junior and Iza Julie Andrade Marques, and her husband Uik, all of Marlborough. Brenda’s nurturing spirit also leaves a lasting legacy with her mother, Alisete Pereira Andrade of Gloucester; her father, Parizio Andrade of Ipswich; and her paternal grandmother, Nilma Andrade of Minas Gerais, Brazil. She is remembered fondly by a niece, Perola of Gloucester; her brother Bruno Andrade of Gloucester; and many cousins who all hold Brenda’s memory close to their hearts.

The community will gather to honor Brenda’s life and legacy, beginning with a visitation on Sunday May 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, located at 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. On May 18, 2026, a Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church on 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough, followed by her burial at Evergreen Cemetery on Wilson Street.  All are invited to sign her online guestbook at collinsfuneral.com.

Her journey has come to a close, but her love, her laughter, and the peace she fostered among her family and friends endure. In every cup of coffee sipped, in the calming whisper of ocean waves, and in the warmth of family gatherings, her spirit will forever be present, a beacon of resilience, kindness, and hope. Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, yet her legacy of courage and devotion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.
