Betty A. (Tapply) Paquette, 93, of Northborough died Tuesday July 29, 2025 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus. She was the wife of the late Richard Paquette who died in 2007.
She was born in Fitchburg and was the daughter of the late Charles and Bernadette (Labarge) Tapply. She was a graduate of cosmetology school, where she met her future husband.
Betty owned and operated Victoria's Boutique in Holden prior to retirement. Betty worked for many years as a hair stylist and clothing salesperson in the Worcester area, and enjoyed cooking, fashion, time at her parent's cottage at Lake Monomomac, and summers at the beach.
She leaves her brother Charles E. (Chuck) Tapply and his wife Judy of Bonita Springs, Florida; son-in-law Jack Lapidas of Upton; two grandchildren, Vic and Meredith Lapidas. She was the mother of Pamela J. Lapidas who died in 2009, and sister to the late William Tapply.
A graveside service will be held Thursday August 7 at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
