NORTHBOROUGH- Barbara J. (Messer) Way, 68 of Northborough and formerly of Whitefield, NH died Saturday February 3, 2007 in Marlborough Hospital after a long illness. She leaves two sons, Richard G. Way of Hudson and Robert A. Way of Northborough; three daughter, Carrie S. Way of Littleton, NH, Deborah J. Laverdure of Northborough and Elizabeth J. Milligan of Jefferson, NH; nine grandsons, one granddaughter and three great grandchildren. She was born and raised in Annapolis, MD, the daughter of the late Richard G. and Mary E. (Brewer) Messer. She was a graduate of Annapolis High School and worked for over twenty years at Whitefield Elementary School in Whitefield, NH before moving to Northborough many years ago at which time she worked as a cook at Assabet Valley Technical High School. She was a partner of Metro Church in Marlborough where she was an active volunteer, a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitefield, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Rebakahs and was an avid reader who enjoyed knitting and shopping. A memorial service will be held Monday February 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Metro Church, 401 Elm Street, Marlborough. There are no calling hours.
