Barbara Ann (Pavia) O'Connell passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born on November 19, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT.

Barbara graduated from Stratford High School in 1960 where she was active in student government and sports. She continued her education at Central Connecticut State College. She was the captain of the basketball team and also played tennis and volleyball at school. Barbara enjoyed a successful sales and marketing career selling clinical lab services for Smith Kline Biosciences before moving on to Racal Health and Safety where she was the Business Development Manager for their Atlantic Division. She closed out her sales career in Real Estate.

Barbara was an avid tennis player and followed the game all her life. She eventually moved up to the Boston area to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching football and basketball and followed her grandchildren as they excelled in their sports. She loved her dogs and always joked that she should have been a breeder! She enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends and was a true foodie.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents Michael Pavia and Dora (Gabriel) Pavia and sister Joan (Pavia) Gallos. She is survived by her brother Michael Pavia of Monroe C., her former husband Edward O'Connell, Ansonia, CT, her daughter, Deborah Leone of Ashland, MA and her husband Robert, son Daniel O'Connell of Marlborough, MA and her five grandchildren, Natalie Leone, Samantha Leone, Melissa Leone, Jack O'Connell and Kyle O'Connell.
