MARLBOROUGH - Barbara F. (Antolini) Green, 78, of Marlborough and formerly of Boston, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the wife of Stanley R. Green, who died in 1997. She was born in Boston, raised on Beacon Hill and was the daughter of the late Albert and Olga (Maliaco) Antolini. Barbara was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1949, and was a secretary for the Town of Brookline for many years. Barbara enjoyed reading, travelling to Hawaii, singing, current affairs, collecting sand and was a Spelling Bee champion. She always had a positive and optimistic outlook on life. She leaves two sons, Daniel W. Green and his wife, Linette of Somerville and David L. Green of Boston; two daughters, Cheryl A. Kelly of Hyde Park and Brenda L. Green of Hawaii; two sisters, Diane Kelley of Woburn and Jane Antolini of Florida; and five grandchildren, MacKenzie, Melissa, Michael, Stephanie and Elizabeth.
A funeral service will be held Monday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m., at the Lincoln Chapel of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery, Walnut Street, Newton. Calling hours will be held Sunday July 18, at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m.
