MARLBOROUGH - Barbara L. (O'Leary) Gandolfo, 88, of Marlborough died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 after a brief illness. She was born, raised and educated in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Owen W. and Mary A. (Sykes) O'Leary. Barbara worked for Data General in Westborough for 12 years before retiring in 1983. Previously she had been a stitcher at B.A. Corbin Shoe Co. for many years. She was a devoted member of the Northborough Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and enjoyed reading, sewing and trips to the beach. She leaves her son, Raymond M. Gandolfo and his wife, Janet, of Marlborough; three grandchildren, Matthew J. Gandolfo of Rutland, and Regina A. Gagliardi and Christopher J. Gandolfo, both of Marlborough; three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Ralph and Donald, and two sisters, Beatrice and Shirley.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m., at the Northborough Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 419 Main St., Northborough. There are no calling hours.
