MARLBOROUGH- Barbara A. (Beaudette) Flanigan, 74, of Marlborough died Monday April 23, 2007 in Marlborough Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Gregory A. Flanigan who died in 1997. She leaves two sons, James F. Flanigan of Marlborough and Gregory A. Flanigan, Jr. of Maynard; three daughters, Diane M. Stangle and Barbara A. Bush both of Marlborough and Sandra E. Salamandra of Broken Arrow, OK; four brothers, Henry Beaudette of Virginia Beach, VA, George Beaudette of Washington, Clinton Beaudette of Sudbury and Robert Beaudette of Waltham; two sisters, Elizabeth Cheever of LaJolla, CA and Mary Marchant of Watertown; seven grandsons, eleven granddaughters, two great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and many nephews and nieces. She was the mother of the late Matthew J. Flanigan of Marlborough who died in 2002 and sister of retired Waltham Police Lt. James Beaudette who died in 1998. She was born in Waltham, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Clinton) Beaudette and was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Waltham. She was an Executive Secretary for Raytheon Corporation in Wayland and Sudbury for 15 years and later at Shipley Company in Marlborough for 15 years retiring in 1995. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Past President of the Amvets Post #1980 Ladies Auxiliary, Past President of the American Legion Post #132 Ladies Auxiliary and Past President of the VFW Post # 1027 Ladies Auxiliary in Hudson and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1129. Mrs. Flanigan was an accomplished pianist and avid reader who enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially on cruise ships. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday April 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. Calling hours will be held Friday April 27 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
