MARLBOROUGH- Anthony J. Pichnarcik, 87, of Marlborough, formerly of Orange, Connecticut died Tuesday August 26, 2008 in Marlborough Hospital. His wife of 60 years, Martina K. (Hoag) Pichnarcik died two years ago. He was born in Matiasovce, Czechoslovakia and raised in Meriden, Connecticut where he graduated from Meriden High School. He later received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Alabama. Mr. Pichnarcik was an aeronautical engineer for Sikorsky (United Technologies) for over 40 years, retiring in 1985. He leaves his daughter, Laurie J. Pichnarcik of Acton, and her husband John Crossin; a sister Ceil Lyons of Hamden, Connecticut and eleven nephews and nieces.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday August 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Chapel, 406 Hemenway Street, Marlborough. Instead of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
