IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Richard
Jones
July 21, 2009 – November 7, 2010
MARLBOROUGH - Anthony Richard Jones, beloved 15-month-old son of Peter F. Jones and Alexis J. Schwarzman of Marlborough, died unexpectedly at home Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010. Born July 21, 2009, in Framingham, Anthony had a rare genetic disorder that has yet to be given a name, and was recently diagnosed with Infantile Spasm Disorder. During his short life, he endured multiple tests and hospitalizations, but following an operation to address his digestive issues, Anthony had begun to grow and gain weight. He wore glasses and loved to sit by the window, celebrating his first birthday July 21. He continued to undergo multiple medical trials, but even with his life a medical mystery and a continuous battle, Anthony stole the hearts of those who loved and cared for him. A very special, loving little boy, always making you smile, Anthony was his own character though faced with many challenges since the day he was born. For the short time that Anthony was with us, he was loved by many and touched everybody's life in a positive way.
Besides his parents he leaves his maternal grandmother, Joanne Sullivan of Marlborough and paternal grandparents, Victor and Karen (Danialsen) Jones of Stow; his maternal great-grandmother, Audrey Sullivan of Marlborough; four uncles, Michael Jones of Belmont, N.H., Guy Sullivan of Buffalo, N.Y., and John and Ricky Sullivan of Marlborough; four aunts, Kristen Jones of Manchester, N.H., and Margie Risotti, Jean Chrisafideis and Samantha Downer, all of Marlborough; his godparents, Lisa Risotti and Michael Jones; a very special friend, Meghan McGorty of Marlborough; and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his great grandfather Richard F. Sullivan who died in 1993.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be private. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
