Marlborough – Anne M. (Mayo) Solano, 86, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She was predeceased in September by her beloved husband, Edmond X. Solano.

Born and raised in Dorchester, Anne was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Frances H. (McLaughlin) Mayo and was one of eleven children.  She carried with her the warmth, humor, and strength that defined her upbringing and shared those gifts generously with the people she loved.

Anne treasured time spent traveling with her husband and family, especially their frequent trips to Cape Cod and the White Mountains. She enjoyed quiet moments with word search and jigsaw puzzles, as well as shopping—most happily at the Christmas Tree Shops. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she filled the season with joy through decorating, baking, and creating cherished traditions with her children and grandchildren.

Known for her quick wit, gentle feistiness, and wonderful sense of humor, Anne had a vibrant spirit that brightened the lives of those around her. Though she enjoyed her "alone time," her heart was always with her family.

She is survived by her son, Edward P. Johnson, Jr. of Elkin, NC; her three daughters, Debra A. Johnson of Mansfield, Karen A. Maddox and her husband Sean of Fitchburg, and Linda M. Moore of Northborough. She also leaves seven grandchildren—Amy, Annie, Kaleigh, Brett, Katelyn, Justin, and Matthew—and four great-grandchildren: Zoey, Ryan, Mason, and Emmie. She was predeceased by her son Dennis Johnson who died in 1987.

Anne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
