MARLBOROUGH - Ann C. (Fusaro) Mendes, 80, of Marlborough died peacefully Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham following a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Raymond F. Mendes for 61 years. She was born, raised, and educated in Worcester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Raphael (Fabricatore) Fusaro, and had lived in Marlborough for the past 50 years. She had been a resident of St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham for the past four months. She was employed by Honeywell for many years. Ann enjoyed dancing, cake decorating, sewing, crafts, bingo, shopping, going out to lunch, boating on Lake Winnipesauke where they had a summer home, and wintering in Anastasia, Fla., during her retirement. She was a member of the former St. Ann's church of Marlborough.
She is survived by her children, Joseph R. Mendes and his wife Sheri of Westborough, and Deborah Lupacchino and her husband Frank of Southborough; and four grandchildren, Steven Lupacchino of Brookline, Michael R. Lupacchino of Nashua, N.H., and Alissa and Philip Mendes of Westborough.
Ann's social personality and infectious laughter will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family and will be greatly missed by them.
A private Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Manor Chapel, Framingham. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
