Marlborough- Ann M. (Orareo) Leandres, 90, of Marlborough died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 2, 2024.   She was the wife of Arthur Leandres who died in 1996.

She was born and raised in Marlborough and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Demalia) Orareo and was a graduate of St. Michael's Academy in Hudson, Class of 1951.  Ann was a nurse's aide at Marlborough Hospital for eleven years.  In her free time she enjoyed reading, knitting, word search puzzles and loved to watch old classic television shows.  Ann adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will be forever grateful for the countless memories made during weekend sleepovers, backyard cookouts, and summertime swims. She also loved her faithful companion "Molly".

She leaves a son Jeffrey D. Leandres and his wife Dawn of Marlborough; two daughters, Charlene M. Finan  and Karen A. Leandres both of Marlborough; a brother Joseph Orareo, Jr. of Marlborough and a sister Joanne Resteghini and her husband Bruno of Marlborough; four grandchildren, Caren A. Poulin and her husband Jacob of Auburn, Scott J. Finan of Marlborough, Justin D. Leandres and his fiance Nicole of Mendon, Cameron M. Leandres of Marlborough; three great grandchildren, Ava and Michael Leandres and Jonathan Doherty; and many nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as Aunty Ann Marie.  She was predeceased by her daughter Donna J. Bacon of Marlborough who died in 1997 and by her sister Delores Slattery who died in 2014.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday May 8 at 9:30 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.  Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
