Rodney "Stretch" Cloutier Obituary

Marlborough- Rodney W. "Stretch" Cloutier, 72, of Marlborough died Monday December 10, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stow, the son of the late William and Irene (Giradin) Cloutier and was a 1964 graduate of Hudson High School. He was a truck driver for many years. In his spare time he loved nothing more than riding his Harley. He leaves two sons, Nathan J. Malpus of Marlborough and Sean Cloutier of Hudson; two daughters, Jennifer DiBuono of Marlborough and Robyn Cloutier Comeau of Leominster; ten brothers and sisters, Pauline Brackett of Hudson, Suzanne Francis-Lake of Canada, Gail Cloutier of Leominster Richard Cloutier of Marlborough, Arlene Blair of Hudson, Judith Cloutier of Marlborough,Steven Cloutier of Bethlehem, New Hampshire, John Cloutier of Clinton, Paul Cloutier, Karen Birtz of Worcester. He has also survived by his grandchildren Jacob DiBuono of Marlborough and Angelina DiBuono as well as many nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Stretch also knew that although he was rough around the edges he had a heart of gold. He loved spending days riding his fatboy with his "family" of Harley riding boys and girls . Nothing made him more happy then feeling the wind hit his face as he searched the road for the next adventure. Stretch took life as it came and would be the first person to tell you if it wasn't the way it should be . For his friends and family knew, that the four letter word was the his most favorite word in the dictionary. Life was a crazy journey for Stretch, may he be at peace.

Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body,but rather to skid sideways totally worn out, shouting " holy shit what a ride".

Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Please join us on Sunday January 6th from 1 to 5 at the Moose Lodge Marlborough as we Celebrate the life of "Stretch". Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street.
