Marlborough- Mariann J. (Morelli) Eden, 65, of Marlborough died Saturday June 30, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after an unexpected illness. She was the wife of Michael Eden for the past 44 years. She was born in Clinton, and was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Trotta) Morelli, and was a 1970 graduate of Hudson Catholic High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Regis College in Weston where she received a BA degree in Art History and Education. Mariann was a school teacher in Acton for 36 years, teaching at The McCarthy-Towne Elementary School. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a devout catholic. She loved scrapbooking, Civil War history and was proud of her Italian heritage, although more than anything she was devoted to her family. Nothing meant more to her than creating lasting memories with them. She was kind and generous and extremely thoughtful. Her work ethic and determination were untouchable.
Besides her husband Michael, she leaves two daughters, Savannah M. Eden and Devereaux L. Eden both of Marlborough. She also leaves behind many close first cousins; Evalina Candela and her husband Roberto Candela of Milford, MA. Peter Palmer of Newport Coast, CA, as well as Mary Frances Blouin and her husband Scott Blouin of Newport Coast, CA. And lastly, her maternal aunt and uncle, Jane (Trotta) Seymour and her husband Frank Seymour also of Newport Beach, CA (originally Marlborough, MA residents). Additionally, to many other cousins and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday July 6 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cox Street, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Thursday July 5 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
