Kenneth Hazirjian, D.C. Obituary

Dr. Kenneth B. Hazirjian, 65, of Marlborough, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, December 7, 2018. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda S. (Jordan) Hazirjian, and his four daughters, Courtney Hazirjian and husband Jay Soukiassian of Los Angeles, CA, Kara J. Hazirjian of Boston, Lauren Hazirjian and her significant other Sean Poole of Park City, UT, and Katelyn B. Hazirjian of West Hollywood, CA. He leaves behind two brothers, Dikran Hazirjian of Cornwall, NY and Martin Hazirjian of Ventura, CA. He also leaves behind many cherished friends and family.

Kenneth was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Dikran and Virginia (Mazmanian) Hazirjian. He was a graduate of River Dell High School in Oradell, New Jersey.  He received a BA in Biology from New England College and Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) from Northwestern College.  It was through his time at New England College that he made many lifelong friends.   His friends remember him as fiercely loyal and compassionate.

Kenneth and Linda married and started their family in 1981 in Wellesley.  From there they moved to Harvard, where they raised their four daughters.

He was the owner and director of The Longfellow Health Center located in Wayland for over 30 years.  He cherished his work, practitioners, patients and had an endless commitment to healing. For over 15 years he enjoyed an annual camping and canoeing trip to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota with his college friends. For the last 25 years he spent New Year’s Day with the same college friends and later on with their sons celebrating friendship, food and football.

He will be missed by many and in the hearts of all who knew him well.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 12 p.m. in the Sheraton Hotel, 1657 Worcester Rd, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warriors Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/) or give a donation to the needy this holiday season.
