Marlborough- Karen A. (Chapman) Aselbekian, 57, of Marlborough died Sunday May 28, 2017 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Marlborough the daughter of the late Eugene and Janet (Bruyere) Chapman and was a graduate of Assabet Valley High School Class of 1978. Karen later received her Associate’s Degree in Business from Northeastern University.  She was a manager at Butcher Wax Co. in Marlborough for 24 years. Karen loved dogs, cats, shopping, spending time with her dear friends and loved to bake. She will be remembered for her bright smile and would light up any room she entered.  She leaves her sister Amy M. Elkins and her husband James of Burleson, Texas; two brothers, Steven C. Chapman of Marlborough and James E. Chapman of Dudley; several nephews and her beloved dog “Zeppy”.

A private graveside service was held at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations in Karen’s name may be made to Buddy Dog Humane Society, 151 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776.
