THOMSON, Francis Roy, Sr. of Bedford, August 23, 2017. Born in Malden on November 27, 1957, Frank was raised in the Boston area and moved to southern NH in 1984 to raise his children. Employed in the plastics industry, Frank’s passion was inventing. He made several important upgrades to machinery that prevented countless injuries. Frank was well known in the early 80’s for the robots he built, Id and Stein, even making appearances at grand openings of businesses in the area. Frank dedicated 14 years to the Army National Guard out of Woburn, MA.

He is survived by his children, Frank Thomson Jr., Anthony Thomson, Michelle Livingston, Melissa Thomson Kaye, and grandchildren Franky III & Victoria Thomson, Raige & TJ Thomson, Natalie & Justin Livingston, and Lauren & Alexandra Kaye, as well as his brothers, Michael Giles, Scott Giles, William Thomson III, John Giles, and his sisters Debora Olson, Beverly Leland, Teresa Thomas, Tracy Ingemi, many beloved nieces and nephews, and his best friends Eddie & Kathy Leblanc. He is predeceased by his parents, William Thomson, Jr, and Marion Beverly Kelliher, his sister, Michelle White, and his grandson, Joshua Kaye. 

At his request, his life vessel was donated to Harvard Medical School. Donations in his memory may be made to Joshua Kaye Foundation. All are invited to sign his online guestbook.
