I loved you, Uncle CooCoo. I know you didn't like it when the nephews called you that, but it was because you were totally unlike any of the other uncles (who are also cuckoo, in their own ways.)

What do I say? You were not a god; you had foibles and faults, but at the end of the day, you were a mountain of a man. Benjamin & I loved you so dearly. I think of our times in Rangeley, when you were your irreverent self and how true and fine that was.

I shall miss you.

I met "Ricky" in April of 1984 at a Young People's AA meeting. He was a great friend and an extraordinary person. He was instrumental in showing me that life could be great in sobriety. His positive outlook, honesty and integrity made him a remarkable person. You were so blessed to have had him as your husband/father. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
