Marlborough- Efigenia Pozo de Diaz, 84, of Marlborough died Tuesday April 18, 2017 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the wife of the late Rafael Diaz who died in 2004. She was born in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic, the daughter of the late Jose Manuel Pozo and Pura y Limpia (Payano) Pozo. She was educated in Hato Mayor and was the mother to nine children. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and attending church.  She will be remembered as a sweet, generous, loving, caring woman that was always helping others. She leaves four sons, Jose, Miguel and Felipe Diaz all residing in Puerto Rico and Franklin Diaz of California; five daughters, Gladys, Rafaela, Neuly and Julia Diaz all of Marlborough and Victoriana Diaz of Dominican Republic; a sister, Pura Julia Pozo residing in Dominican Republic; twenty-four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Saturday April 22 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will be held in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic. All are invited to sign Efigenia’s online guestbook at www.CollinsFuneral.com.
