Boylston- Gail D. (Gordon) Bauer, 65, of Boylston passed away on comfort measures Friday February 23, 2024 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Patterson, NJ and was the daughter of Michael and Temar (Taub) Gordon. Gail was raised in Rancho Palos Verde, California and was a graduate of Rolling Hill High School. After moving back to New Jersey she attended and graduated from Taylor Business School. She was a computer programmer for Staples for several years. Gail enjoyed spending time with her friends, keeping up to date on what her grandchildren were up to, and she adored her cat, Misty.
She leaves one daughter Leigha R. Bauer and her husband John of Boylston; two grandchildren, Jason and Raelyn both of Boylston; a stepdaughter Cassidy Bauer of Boylston and a stepson Nicholas Bauer of Bellingham; two sisters, Lori Brickel of New Jersey and Sandy Kwiatkowski of Texas; one nephew David and three nieces Rebecca, Stephanie, and Sarah.
Gail demonstrated extreme resilience throughout her health hardships. Her determination to get through each obstacle was admirable. She refused to quit no matter how hard things got. She did her best to remain optimistic throughout every hurdle. It brings her family peace knowing she no longer has to be resilient.
Calling hours will be held Thursday February 29 from 6-8 PM in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will be private. All are invited to sign Gail’s online guestbook at collinsfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers donations in Gail’s name may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
