MARLBOROUGH - Lorraine G. (St. Laurent) Evers, 82, of Marlborough died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Kindred of Marlborough. She was the wife of Edgar G. Evers who died in 1996. Born, raised and educated in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Eugene and Leona (Parriseau) St. Laurent, she was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1948. Lorraine worked at RCA and Honeywell for many years. Prior to her retirement in 1991, she was a quality control inspector for the former Digital Equipment Corporation in Marlborough and Hudson. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church and Choir. As a young woman, Lorraine enjoyed roller-skating and dancing at the old Lyonhurst Dance Hall that was located on Lake Williams. She also enjoyed playing the piano and had a passion for painting sceneries.

She leaves five sons, (Ret.) Mass. State Trooper Noel T. Evers and his wife, Diane and James E. Evers and his wife, Annette, all of Marlborough, Gerard F. Evers and his wife, Jane, of Stow, Daniel J. Evers and his wife Deborah of Florida and Francis A. Evers of Rhode Island, and a daughter, Suzanne M. Forbes and her husband, Edward, of Marlborough; two brothers, Frederick St. Laurent of Maine and Francis St. Laurent of Arizona; six grandsons, six granddaughters, and 16 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was the mother of William G. Evers who died in 1985.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach Street. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
