MARLBOROUGH - Mary (Alafogianis) Fassos, 82, of Marlborough died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at MetroWest Medical Center. She was the wife of William Fassos who died last year. She leaves four daughters, Gail Fassos of Milford, Joanne Niedbala of Bellingham, Dora Kounalakis of Acton and Sophie Neto of Marlborough; seven grandchildren: Julia, Alexa, Christa, Steven, Nicholas, Joshua and Anna; and one niece and one nephew. Mary was educated in Lynn and was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW in Natick and enjoyed cooking. She was a kind, generous and caring woman.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at Saints Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Cashman Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. You were such a wonderful woman,GREAT COOK,you always called me over or came over with food when I lived on Victor Rd. Sophie and Deidra were good friends. May You Rest In Peace lovely lady. My regards to the family.
