I am shocked beyond words and so sad to hear this news. Many fond memories are flashing through my mind, one very special one being Walt's taking the time to visit my Dad shortly before his death at the hospice house. Walt, I know you're up there with Dad now, probably enjoying a great glass of wine and gourmet meal!!! Will always miss you...rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Big Wally was so funny, I just loved him and that great bear hug he would always give me no matter how much time had gone by since the last time I saw him. When I think of him I can see him smiling, laughing and I can hear that big happy laugh he had :) I am thinking of you all and praying for you. I laughed last night when I thought about him and my Dad being together now... Keep your head up, you have a special angel to watch over you all! Sending love and hugs your way. See you soon.

Walter, I am very sad for your departure. I saw you 2 weeks ago in one of our Acara Team rides preparing for the MS bike ride in June. Your death leaves a big hole in our hearts. I will certainly miss you checking that I would be ok sleeping in a hammock every time it rained or there was lightning. I promise I will take good care. Have a safe journey, know that you will be missed tremendously.

Catherine and I are greatly saddened to hear of Wally's passing. I first met Wally in 1971 - we were co-workers at Berkshire Apparel in Malden (his Aunt Mel hired me). We shared many good times and many a good laugh in our youth and I am glad that we never lost touch over the years. Wally was a smart man and a fine person and it is consoling that he got what he deserved - a good life and a beautiful family.

Monique, Danielle, Walter Scott, Gabrielle and Linda,
I am so sorry for your loss. Wally was a wonderful friend and I'll miss him and his crazy ways. He, Neal and Dave will be together in my heart forever, riding around on their Harleys, sitting back with drinks and laughing on the dock in Maine, being each others' best men...
Wally was a good man and I'm thankful that he had such a great family, accomplished so many meaningful things in his life and had a lot of fun, doing what he loved to the end.

Dear Walter,
I am so grateful our paths crossed. You came into my life at a low point and filled me with happiness and positive energy. You made me laugh so when you told me "we are so similar, it's like dating ourselves" You were always the epitome of a gentleman and made me feel like Cinderella. You brought a calm to my hectic, jittery schedule. You showed me places and gave me experiences I never had know before and taught me how to enjoy life. You introduced me to your great friends and a wonderful family. You shared your love of golf and cycling with me. Although our time together was brief, it was packed with fun. Words can not explain the void I now feel. I am sending a piece of my heart with you until we meet again my Love.

My husband and I were shocked and saddened by the news of Walter's passing. We met him during a relay race last year, he showed up with his bicycle ready to roll! We were won over by his smile and warm personality. I am so glad that I got a chance to know such a great human being. He will be missed.

Dear Walter's family and friends....Walter and I hadn't solved all of the worlds problems yet altho at times we thought we did! Our weekly exercise routines followed by colorful electrolytes, protein, sugar and counseling sessions were unique and I will not be able to fill that void - how I will miss it. I hope you will cherish the memories you have as I will of mine. Please carry on his caring personality as you will see how it has touched so many!
Warm thoughts your way, Karen

To Walters family and all that had the pleasure to have known him:
Walter was my professor, mentor, boss and ultimately an inspiring friend full of life and optimism not to be to be compared with any other. I enjoyed many adventures with Walter over the span of more than 14 years. Each adventure has a special memory and a story that makes me smile and laugh out loud; from camping to cocktails it was always great fun! Without reservation, Walter was quick to invite a person into his circle of family and friends. He would speak of his children and grandchildren often and beamed with happiness when announcing plans to spend time with them.
I am stunned and saddened beyond words to hear of Walter’s passing and will forever be inspired by his zest for life, hopeful perspective, and easy smile. I will miss him immensely!

My heart and thoughts are with all of you in your time of loss
