Framingham- Ivo de Oliveira Barbosa, 86, of Framingham died Friday March 31, 2017 at Eliot Center in Natick. He was the husband of Lisete (Siqueira) Barbosa for the past 60 years. He was born, raised and educated in Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the son of the late Benevenuto and Aldina (de Oliveira) Barbosa. Ivo was a farmer most of his life and he enjoyed fishing, soccer and volleyball. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and spending time with family and friends. Besides his wife, he leaves a son Fabio Barbosa of Clearwater, FL; four daughters, Sandra Cardoso of Framingham, Adriane Reed of Hopedale, Sheila Barbosa and Andrea Meira of Framingham; eight grandchildren; a brother and three sisters in Brazil; many nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Sergio Barbosa of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 1 at 5:15 p.m. in St. Tarcisius Church, Waverly Street, Framingham.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. All are invited to sign Ivo’s online guestbook at www.CollinsFuneral.com.
